For the last couple of years, I've put together an annual A4 wall calendar of my landscape photography.
Both times it's featured photos I've taken in Britain, from castles and bridges to fields and trees.
This year, knowing I was going to visit my mother-in-law, on an Italian island called Ischia in the Mediterranean Sea, I thought I'd do something different and shoot the calendar there.
The challenge was balancing my desire to travel to different spots on the island with the wonderful joys of being a parent!
So, over a period of eight different days, with my wonderful wife in the driver's seat, we packed the kids in the car and bimbled to different points of the island.
And filmed it :)
(you can see the videos as vlog posts, here on my blog)
Over the course of "the shoot" I took just over 500 photos (many of them the same shot with different settings) but was often somewhat restricted on places and timings (we were often scuppered on where we wanted to go by traffic, children, weather, tiredness or a combination of all of them!)
So, below is a selection of candidates from those shots.
I very quickly gave each a "gloss" in Lightroom and it's important to know that they were from the JPGs, not the RAW files, of the original photos.
This means that whichever ones are picked for the final 14 (12 months plus front and back cover) will be redone "properly" (i.e. messed with in Lightroom from the RAW files) which should mean they'll come out looking much better!
So this is just a little guide gallery so you can help me choose which ones should be on the calendar.
To that end, I now ask for you your help!
There are 29 shots in all (a few of them are of the same thing, I just couldn't choose between them!) and I'd like you to tell me, in the comments section below (or via the chat icon on the bottom right, or a private message), which are your Top 5.
Hopefully, this will surface the favourites and help me put together my 2019 Wall Calendar!
So, please, which are your Top 5?
1. Click on any image to expand it
2. Use the numbers 1 - 29 to indicate which photos are your favourite
EDIT: the voting has now closed! So you can still vote, but it won't be tallied ;) You can see the results here.
